One global Commercial function – From Product & Purchasing to Accommodation Product & Sourcing

As many of you know we are on an exciting journey to transform our Markets and Airline business. Our objective is to become a Global Curated Leisure Marketplace focused on building an organisation that is fit for the future, with the right technology, processes, and culture in place to attract customers with the products they want. Thus, adding even more value to our partnerships.

We are aligning our organisational structure and processes to match our strategic priorities – We now have one joint global Commercial function that oversee all product and sourcing activities for accommodations, flights and ancillaries as well as optimising our pricing and yielding tools. Bringing our commercial functions closer together optimises our business model by enabling faster decision making, increased speed to market, broader dynamic connectivity and global scalability that will allow us to enter new markets quicker.

As part of our ongoing transformation, the former Product & Purchasing teams have now transitioned into two new units:

  • Accommodation Product & Sourcing led by Phillip Iveson
  • Accommodation Connectivity & Solutions led by Nicki Sohnrey

The new structure and leadership team unites Product, Sourcing, and Revenue Management across all TUI markets. They are responsible for destination planning, development, optimized dynamic connectivity and strategy as well as all hotelier relationships – This integrated approach will help us respond more quickly to market needs and unlock more value for your business.
